Turkey proposes international force to protect Palestinians.

Turkey has proposed an "international security measure" to protect Palestinian civilians. The country made the proposal at an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the wake of the Israeli attack on Gaza, which killed civilians, including children.

This information has been given in a report of TRTWorld, the state-owned broadcaster of Turkey. The proposal was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevl Satas avu Golu at a virtual meeting of the 57-nation OIC on Sunday.

Mevl Saat Savasgulu said the effort would provide security for Palestinian civilians by forming an international security force. This can be done with the financial support of interested countries. Such measures are in line with a resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2016.

"Now is the time to show solidarity and sincerity towards Palestine," Mevl Sa t Savasgulu said. Turkey is ready to take any necessary steps.

"We must stand up for justice and humanity," he said. Nothing else should be considered here. '

He said Israel should face trial for war crimes and that the International Criminal Court could play a role.
