December 12 is the fourth Digital Bangladesh Day



Dhaka: The fourth Digital Bangladesh DISB-2020 is going to be organized across the country on December 12. The theme of this year's event is 'Even though I am far away, I am connected'.

An online preparatory meeting was held on Thursday (October 22) to celebrate the day. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak presided over the meeting.

Among others present at the meeting were NM Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Department of Information and Communication Technology, ABM Arshad Hossain, Director General, Department of Information and Communication Technology, concerned officials of ICT Department and its subordinate departments and agencies.The president and General Secretary of BASIS, BCS, Bakya were also present online at the meeting.

At the meeting, it was decided to lay a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi No. 32 at 8:30 PM on the occasion of the day. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be the chief guest at the inaugural and award ceremonies organized on the occasion of the day.

On the occasion of the day, 12 years of achievements and achievements in building a digital Bangladesh were highlighted, supplements were published in important national dailies, talk shows were aired in various electronic media, two webinars were organized in Bengali and English highlighting the aims and objectives of the day. It was decided to organize essays on various topics in Digital Bangladesh, present speeches, drawing competitions, meetings, seminars, workshops, awareness dramas, awards among the best individuals, organizations and entrepreneurs.

In his speech, the Minister of State for ICT directed all concerned to work sincerely for the proper celebration of the day.
